Is the Katanga Scout a full kit?

 It is technically a partial kit, there is one screw and nut that needs to be purchased separately, you can either purchase this screw on our site or locate one elsewhere. The exact screw needed is an Alloy Steel Hexagon Socket Head Shoulder Screw, 5/8” Shoulder Length, 5/16” Shoulder Dia, ¼-20 Thread. 1pcs. The nut needed is ¼-20 Hex Lock Nut.

What gauges is the Scout available in?

The Scout is currently available in 28, and 20 gauge.

How long does it take to build the Scout?

It will take roughly 4-8 hours depending upon your skill level. More if you want to make it look really nice and add a custom finish.

Is there a safety mechanism on the Scout?

Yes, there is a safety switch.

What kind of action is the Scout?

The Scout is a single action.

What tools are needed to build the Scout?

The basic tools needed are, a hand drill or drill press, various drill bits, ¼”-20 High-Carbon Steel Plug Tap (can be bought on our website and includes a small turning handle, or amazon), allen wrenches, and small metal files.

Do you ship to all states?

We do not ship to the following states: Maryland, Connecticut, California, New Jersey, Nevada, Hawaii, Washington, Virginia, Rhode Island, New York, District of Columbia. It is your responsibility to follow your local laws and regulations.

Are we required to register our Scout once we built it?

You do not need to register your Scout. Federal law and our 2A states that it is legal to build your own firearms.

What are the dimensions of the Scout?

The barrel is 18.25”, and the overall length is 34”.
